BANA is always happy to offer practicum placements to our partners in the post-secondary community. This fall we are thrilled to introduce you to our 3 students from the University of Windsor.
I am originally from Brigden, but came to the big city of Windsor when I accepted my offer to the Human Kinetics program. Now in my third year, I am in the co-op stream and will be with BANA until the end of December. If I’m not studying, I enjoy volunteering for my school club, baking anything yummy, and spending time with my family. I am so fortunate to have this opportunity with BANA – the people I’ve been able to connect with are truly inspirational in who they are, and what they do for this community.
I am a graduate from St. Clair College as a Child and Youth Worker. I am currently in my 4th year at the University of Windsor in the Social Work Program, completing my placement here at BANA. I currently work with children and youth who experience significant trauma or who may be in mental or emotional distress. I enjoy advocating and attending mental health workshops, training and education seminars. I am passionate about being involved in the community and will seek out various opportunities to do so. I am honored to be placed at such a wonderful organization. I am looking forward to meeting various clients and working with community partners throughout my time here at BANA. I enjoy walking, painting and spending time with my many animals.
I am a 4th year student in the BSW program at the University of Windsor with a minor in psychology. I hope to continue my education and pursue a Master’s in Social Work next year concentrating in clinical social work. I am thrilled to be working as a student at BANA. I am a mental health advocate and have spent time working on committees and participating in ventures to reduce the stigma that surrounds mental health. In my spare time, I run a business working as a consultant for various industries including: real estate, marketing, and technical support.
