“If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”
– Albert Einstein
As part of BANA’s staff ‘Team Building & Wellness Program’ we plan professional development days which often consist of community outreach and team building exercises. Professional development team building allows employees to see other team members’ perspectives. The team building in the workplace exercise generally involves working as a group and experiencing new ventures. Staff need to communicate their ideas effectively and share their perspectives to be successful. In the past we have built community gardens, worked in food banks, helped at the Downtown Mission, the Unemployed Help Centre, escaped from Enigma Escape Room, toured historical landmarks and participated in various team building activities.
Recently BANA Staff were pleased to continue this tradition with a visit and information session with our friends at Problem Gambling Services at Hotel Dieu Grace Health Care. Special thanks to Shawn Rumble and Chelsea Romualdi and their team for the outstanding tour.
Our adventure continued as we turned the theme to team building and took a journey down River Canard in canoes. As this was the first canoeing experience for many of our staff, our team building skills were put to the test, but we are pleased to report a successful round trip for everyone.
We look forward to continuing our adventures together and sharing them all with you.
