The Bulimia Anorexia Nervosa Association would like to extend our sincerest congratulations to Windsor West Member of Provincial Parliament, Teresa Piruzza on her appointment to the post of “Minister Responsible for Women’s Issues” to compliment her current role as “Minister for Children and Youth.”
On June 17th, Minister Piruzza visited BANA’s new offices and was very supportive and encouraging not only of our more accessible location, but of the services we provide and our efforts to be a Centre of Excellence for Eating Disorders, Health, Wellness. In a sit-down discussion with Interim Executive Director Luciana Rosu-Sieza, she took the time to ask and learn about our clinical intake and treatment process, community partnerships and our community education and prevention programs.
BANA, as founding member of the Ontario Community Outreach Program for Eating Disorders, appreciated the great opportunity to share insights with a Provincial Representative on the state of Eating Disorder related treatment throughout Ontario and BANA’s role in supporting those in need.
Since her days as the Executive Director of Employment and Social Services for the City of Windsor, Teresa has brought more than just experience and knowledge to those she helps; she brings genuine interest and compassion towards making our region the best it can be.
With a long history as a strong advocate for those in need in our community and we are proud to continue to share her drive, compassion and vision with the entire province.
